What makes me SHINE:

YARHAR! It be Halloween!  Well, almost.  And my life has calmed down, although parts of it are acting up and out.  Stress triggered a nearly two-month long manic period (I'm bipolar) and my shrink was glad I didn't do anything crazier than I am.  My six year old, Adia, who is autistic and low-functioning, has a kid beating her up daily:  we're considering homeschool if her IEP can't be edited to put her in another program.  Nobody should be allowed to bully someone else every day and merely get a "quiet room" when it obviously isn't stopping the abuse.  On the brighter side, Patience wowed her "developmental preschool" (you remember, that's "special ed for toddlers") and began to chatter in long diatribes, displayed her knowledge of the alphabet, colors and shapes, and got moved into a class of 4 year olds.  We're very proud.

�I quite need to thank ikachina and blackxxcat for being so generous and for cheering me up on a lousy day.� Thank you! And kattzyze and aaliyah were also both super sweet!

And also fansoflynnea, for the perfume bottle gift.� My goodness!� I feel pampered.

Raineydaze gave me the bottle of champagne.� And Pony0910 gave me a lovely basket of love.  Hee, lovely love. Three other people gave me gifts between August and October, and I'd like to thank them too, but I seem to have lost the mails for them, except Aaliyah's.

I say "Whoa cool!!"� LOL! I'm so happy about it I could squee.

For all players whose names contain obscenities, profanities, or questionable content:

Acclaim reserves the right to delete such usernames, accounts, and likewise immediately. There are currently large-scale purges of usernames occurring.

If you are concerned about your username, you may certainly ask to be renamed. However, you need to do so immediately, or you risk the loss of your account and all equipment purchased. Only those names with totally objectionable content will be considered for renaming.

The process:

First of all, sign in to www.acclaim.com with an alternate username.
Secondly, come to My Diva Doll and send a support email (from the bottom of the main page, where it says Contact Us) requesting that your username be changed to the name that you have SENT THE MAIL FROM.

Expect the change, as it is a manual process, to take 3-7 days to be processed. Truly distasteful names may be purged without notice, even if you have already entered a request for change of name.

Policy Change on What Makes me Shine Content:

�There are new rules that apply to what can be put into your "What Makes Me Shine".
The "What Makes Me Shine" was meant to be used to put things that make you sparkle - make you happy. They are not a place for putting cruelty, sadness and horror. There is enough of that in the world already.
Acclaim wishes the following to be removed from all player's "What Makes Me Shine". You have three days to do so once you have been informed by a moderator. Failure to do so will result in your entire "What Makes Me Shine" being deleted.
1) Any content that is not suitable for an all-ages web site.
2) Animal cruelty stories. For example the kitten killing story.
3) Child abuse stories. For example, "With her best friend in her arms", "My name is Chris"
4) Suicide stories. For example, "Ashley", "NO GIRL DESERVES THIS", and any other story or poem with suicide in it.
5) Cutting.

Chances are one or the other of those is why you're here to ask me questions.� Go ahead, I welcome constructive comments and questions about infractions.� I really don't like to be cursed at, but I understand feeling frustrated about rules.� However, these are sensible rules that make this site safe and fun for everyone - for me, especially for the babies who like to sit in my lap while I play! �

I do think there are smart alternatives to child-abuse prevention, animal cruelty prevention, and suicide awareness.  And I know there are more progressive ways to support gay, lesbian and transgendered awareness. � None of them involve vivid poetry.� And as a rape survivor and a past victim of child abuse (my mother drank) I can honestly tell you, it's the small stuff - the stuff that won't kill you - that you won't ever forget.� Is it any less bad just because someone doesn't write poetry about that?� I don't really think it is.� Anyway!� End rant. We survive, we pick up, we cope...and we hate bad poetry, lol.
